Counter-Strike is probably the most popular multiplayer game in the world. A first-person shooter game, the players are divided into two teams, Terrorists and Counter-terrorist. The 2 teams battle where the task of the Counter-Terrorists is to stop the act of terror (bomb planting and hostage capture) by the terrorist group. The irony is CS was released initially as a modification for Half-life and it became much more popular than Half Life. The series began on Windows in 1999 and was designed by
Minh “Gooseman” Le and Jess “Cliffe” Cliffe. Rights of the game were acquired by Valve Corporations in 2000.
The future releases of the game:
The game was developed by Turtle Rock Studios and was released in 2004. Unlike the previous version, this release was a single-player game with missions and bonuses. The game was received poorly and was soon followed by Counter-Strike: Source.
It was initially released as a beta version to the members of the Valve Cyber Cafe Program. Next, a beta version was given to the original owners of Condition Zero. It was after that the game was publicly released. While the original version was for Microsoft Windows, the game eventually received a port to OS X on 2010 and Linux on 2013.
The fourth release of the series, the game runs on the source engine much like the Counter Strike Source. It is available on Windows, OS X, Linux, playstation3 and Xbox 360 consoles.
Various Competitions are held all over the globe and the game has a huge fanbase. If you get the thrill of the game, it will definitely be an addiction for you.
